The Battle for Wesnoth is a turn-based strategy game with a fantasy theme.

Build up a great army, gradually turning raw recruits into hardened veterans. In later games, recall your toughest warriors and form a deadly host against whom none can stand! Choose units from a large pool of specialists, and hand-pick a force with the right strengths to fight well on different terrains against all manner of opposition.

Wesnoth has many different sagas waiting to be played out. Fight to regain the throne of Wesnoth, of which you are the legitimate heir... step into the boots of a young officer sent to guard a not-so-sleepy frontier outpost... vanquish a horde of undead warriors unleashed by a foul necromancer, who also happens to have taken your brother hostage... guide a band of elvish survivors in an epic quest to find a new home.

"Textaizer is the most versatile Text Mosaic Creation freeware on the internet."
Textaizer is an application that turns your pictures in little pieces of art by re-painting the bitmap from text. Similar techniques exists such as ASCII art, by painting a bitmap from ASCII characters with no particular sequence. Textaizer can be regarded as an intelligent ASCII text mosaic creator, where the input can be a random selection of ASCII characters, but also predefined text. This approach is similar to photo mosaic creation, where the photo is rebuild from small pictures that match the average color of the source bitmap where it is placed. From a distance the picture is recognised, from close the individual pictures can be seen. Textaizer creates the same effect: from close you can easily read the text. A second feature of Textaizer is to create genuine ASCII art pictures: text made from monospaced characters, famous for its application as e.g. e-mail stationairies. File Defrag is a useful utility that performs file based defragmentation. Most defragmentation tools work on an entire disk or individual drives. File Defrag is different as it allows you, using an Explorer style screen, to see defragmentation of every file and folder on each of your disks. Each fragmented file or folder can be individually defragmented. It will also allow you to defragment what you want file by file or folder by folder rather than being forced to defragment a whole drive as with conventional tools. File Defrag employs an innovative technique to reduce future fragmentation by moving file blocks into fragmented free space on the drive. This reduces the chances of new files themselves becoming fragmented and maximises the amount of contiguous free space on the drive.
