AOL Active Security Monitor It looks to see if you have anti-virus software and sees if the definitions are up to date; does the same for anti-spyware; looks to see if you have a firewall enabled; and checks to see if you have peer-to-peer software that could pose a danger; among other tasks. It doesn't actually include any protection, but instead warns you that you need some. Note that the software won't work with Windows Vista. And I wouldn't always trust its recommendations, because it recommends using for-pay AOL software such as the AOL Privacy Wall, instead of necessarily recommending the best software. Cobian Backup is a multi-threaded program that can be used to schedule and backup your files and directories from their original location to other directories/drives in the same computer or other computer in your network. FTP backup is also supported in both directions (download and upload). Cobian Backup exists in two different versions: application and service.
